How To Enroll

Please read the instructions on this page and then download and complete our registration form. Mail in your completed registration form to Rocky Mountain Workshops. Be sure to register early to take advantage of our early registration discounts.

Note that if a minimum number of registrations has not been met by the registration deadline, that workshop may be cancelled. Please register early to help us plan ahead. Thank you.

Don't forget to include your $100 deposit per workshop, and make your check or money order (U.S. funds only) payable to Rocky Mountain Workshops. Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards. Upon receipt of your registration and deposit, a preworkshop information packet will be sent to you; this packet includes:

Boring Machines
  • A statement with balance due
  • Complete information on travel to the Pingree Park Campus
  • Check-in times
  • Course description, tool list, and tool suppliers
  • Personal goals questionnaire
  • A brief medical history form/personal items list

Room and board fees are separate from workshop tuitions, and are paid directly to the Pingree Park Campus upon your arrival for course check-in (check, Visa, MasterCard). The Pingree Park Campus cannot accept payments prior to your arrival. Receipt of your registration and deposit automatically reserves your room and board at Pingree Park.

All workshops begin the evening of the first scheduled date of each course. Rocky Mountain Workshops is not affiliated with Colorado State University. The room and board fee is set by Colorado State University and is not negotiable. As a reminder, all workshop expenses may be tax deductible for professional builders.

Discounts

Be sure to take advantage of our early registration discounts.  Save $25.00 on your tuition if you enroll by the early tuition deadline.

We also offer a couple's rate discount. The couple's rate applies to two people using the same registration form and taking the same course.

In addition, students taking more than one course in the 2010 series will receive a multi-course discount of $50.00 per person from the tuition fee for the second course, and $100.00 per person from the tuition fee for the third course.

Deposits

A $100 deposit per person is required for each workshop. Upon receipt of your registration, we will send you a receipt and statement for all charges with balance due. The balance is due two weeks prior to the beginning of class. If we don't receive final payment by then, we will offer your place to someone on the waiting list.

Cancellations

All course deposits are refundable minus $50.00 up until four weeks prior to the class, after which the balance may be applied toward another 2010 class if you cancel. If a workshop is under-enrolled three weeks prior to its scheduled date, it may be canceled. We therefore urge you to register well in advance. In the event of a course cancellation, persons who have paid their deposits and/or tuition balance will receive prompt and full repayment.

Tools

Students will be required to bring a basic set of tools for each workshop, most of which are common carpentry and drafting tools (tape measure, framing square, calculator, architectural scale, etc.). A required tool list and tool suppliers will be included in your preworkshop information packet. The approximate cost to purchase a complete set of new tools for a given workshop may range from about $40.00 to $200.00. A variety of specialty tools will be on hand and available for student use during our hands-on workshops.

Registration

Be sure to register early to take advantage of our discount prices. Simply download our registration form, fill it out and mail it to Rocky Mountain Workshops. Be sure to include your deposit amount of $100 per workshop with your registration form (make your check or money order payable to Rocky Mountain Workshops). Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards.
