Welcome!
If you are seeking unsurpassed instruction in wooden joinery, taught in one of the most beautiful settings in the world, you've come to the right place!
In 1986 Rocky Mountain Workshops offered its first hands-on workshops in the handcrafted tradition of scribe-fit log construction. In 1996, we expanded our program to include timber framing.
From the beginning, the Rocky Mountain Workshops' commitment has been to provide students from all backgrounds and building skills with the best learning experience possible.
All of our workshops are held at the spectacular Colorado State University Mountain Campus, located 55 miles west of Fort Collins, Colorado and adjacent to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Students and instructors live here for the duration of the workshop; dorm rooms are provided for each class and the dining room offers all-you-can-eat meals!
